For the day 6 of being quarantined, we made an Apple Pie.
The recipe is simple, with few ingredients, yet it is delicious.
Ingredients Crust:
- 2 cup of flour or 250 gr
- 1 stick of butter or 120 gr
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tsp of sugar
- 5 tbsp 70 ml of water
Ingredients Apple:
- 4 apples, cored and sliced
- ½ cup sugar
- 1.2 tsp of cinnamon
Recipe:
- Take the butter out of the fridge to soften for about 1 hour
- Place the flour, sugar and salt in a bowl
- Cut up the butter in ÂĽ cube and place in the bowl
- Mix by hand or with a paddle mixer
- Put in the water and mix briefly. Try to not over mix
- Form into a ball and place in the fridge for 30 minutes to rest
- During that time, peel, core and slice the apples
- Place the apple slice in a bowl with water to prevent them from turning brown
- With a rolling pin stretch the dough and place it in a pie dish
- Place the apple slices in fan like manner
- Mix the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle the apples
- Bake at 400 F for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown
