These treats are delicious and easy to make!
You will need the following ingredients and tools:
- Ripe Figs
- Goat Cheese
- Pecans
- 1 Large Shallot, chopped
- Honey
- Thyme
- Rosemary
- Butter
- White Wine
Recipe:
- Oil the bottom of your skillet
- Slice figs in half, length wise, and place cut side down in the skillet
- Season with salt and pepper
- Flip figs to be cut side up and season with salt and pepper again
- Put skillet into the oven, allowing figs to sear
- Once figs have seared, remove them from the skillet and put into a baking dish.
- Add shallots, butter, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper to the hot skillet and return to oven.
- Once shallots have begun to cook, remove from oven, add white wine and return to oven.
- Remove cooked shallots from the oven
- Sprinkle goat cheese and pecans on top of the figs.
- Place the baking dish in the oven just long enough to melt the cheese.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven and add cooked shallots to the top, then drizzle with honey
