Fire Roasted Figs With Goat Cheese and Pecans

 

These treats are delicious and easy to make!

You will need the following ingredients and tools:

  • Ripe Figs
  • Goat Cheese
  • Pecans
  • 1 Large Shallot, chopped
  • Honey
  • Thyme
  • Rosemary
  • Butter
  • White Wine

Recipe:

  1. Oil the bottom of your skillet
  2. Slice figs in half, length wise, and place cut side down in the skillet
  3. Season with salt and pepper
  4. Flip figs to be cut side up and season with salt and pepper again
  5. Put skillet into the oven, allowing figs to sear
  6. Once figs have seared, remove them from the skillet and put into a baking dish.
  7. Add shallots, butter, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper to the hot skillet and return to oven.
  8. Once shallots have begun to cook, remove from oven, add white wine and return to oven.
  9. Remove cooked shallots from the oven
  10. Sprinkle goat cheese and pecans on top of the figs.
  11. Place the baking dish in the oven just long enough to melt the cheese.
  12. Remove the baking dish from the oven and add cooked shallots to the top, then drizzle with honey
